An entrance held in light.

Xiamen C&D · Hexi brings decorative glass into an entrance and a sequence of adjoining views. An illuminated landscape surface sits within a darker architectural frame. The photographs move from a frontal composition to a corridor and an angled approach, showing how the glass participates in the experience of arrival rather than appearing as an isolated decorative panel.

Frontal illuminated entrance

02 / Background / spatial intent

Light as architecture

From the front, broad steps lead towards a luminous centre beneath a layered canopy. Columns, screens and repeated horizontal lines give the entrance depth. The pale landscape image creates a place for the eye to pause within that structure. Seen from an angle, the surrounding paving and the depth of the opening become more apparent, changing the balance between image and architecture.

Circular corridor and glass wall

03 / Application of glass

Movement and reflection

Digitally printed decorative glass carries the landscape image through the entrance sequence. In the corridor view, the surface extends beside a succession of circular openings. The glass is read together with the passage, the open side of the corridor and reflections across the floor. Its position beside the route gives the image a changing foreground as the viewpoint moves along the space.

04 / Material expression

A changing perspective

Landscape imagery, warm illumination and dark framing create the main contrast. Fine marks within the image are held inside much larger architectural lines. Reflections add another layer without replacing the original view. The result, as seen in the photographs, is a surface that can be read both as a detailed image and as a luminous plane within the entrance sequence.

Details that shape the reading.

A framed centre

The landscape panel occupies the centre of a deeper entrance composition, with the surrounding structure giving it a clear boundary.

A sequence of openings

Circular frames draw the eye along the corridor while the decorative wall continues beside the route.

Changing viewpoints

Frontal and angled photographs show different relationships between the glass, canopy and approach.
