Glass within architecture.

Selected from the POBO project archive.
01Project overview
Four Seasons · Tianjin brings decorative surfaces into lounge and reception settings. Glass appears alongside timber tones, soft seating and warm lighting. The selected photographs show both a room organised around a screen and smaller material details, offering a restrained example of decorative surfaces within a hospitality setting.
02 / A project reading
In the lounge view, seating is arranged on either side of a central axis leading towards a glass screen. The darker surrounding planes frame that destination, while the furniture establishes a more intimate foreground. Other views move towards reception and illuminated wall surfaces. Together, they show how a decorative material can contribute to several moments within an interior without requiring every surface to have the same emphasis.

↗From the project material archive
An additional view from the Tianjin project archive brings the framed screen into focus. Repeated lines and circles sit beside warmer wall surfaces, showing how the decorative field meets the surrounding interior. It extends the room-scale reading with a quieter view of the panel and its frame.

03 / A project reading
The project brings together decorative printing, inlay and translucent stone-effect glass. Decorative surfaces appear in screens, wall compositions and reception settings. Framed panels provide a destination within a room, while illuminated wall areas become a brighter part of the surrounding palette. Across these views, glass participates in the sequence from arrival to a quieter place to sit.
04 / A project reading
Warm light and timber tones give the glass a quiet material context. Dark framing makes some panels read as a clear boundary, while illuminated surfaces introduce a brighter accent elsewhere. Close views shift attention towards graphic detail and surface character. The range of images provides a useful reference for balancing a broad spatial composition with smaller moments of decorative interest around seating and arrival areas.
05Design highlights
The lounge composition leads the eye between seating towards a centrally placed decorative screen.
Glass is read alongside timber tones and soft furnishings, giving its surface a distinct but connected role.
Room, reception and detail photographs connect the larger interior arrangement with the decorative surface close at hand.
