SELECTED PROJECT
Glass within architecture.
Layered glass elevations bring a finely veined surface to the scale of civic architecture, revealing a changing rhythm of light, planes and deep setbacks.

Selected from the POBO project archive.
01Project overview
Layered volumes and pale, veined surfaces give Baoan Arts Centre a distinct civic presence. Glass participates in this architectural rhythm, bringing light and surface pattern into a composition of folds, planes and deep setbacks. The sequence moves from the scale of the building to the detail of a panel.
02 / A project reading
The oblique view brings stacked building volumes into one composition. Light changes across the folds and setbacks. The panel rhythm remains visible beneath a softer, irregular surface pattern, bringing two different scales of detail to the exterior.

03 / A project reading
Decorative glass brings a finely patterned surface to the architectural composition. At the corner, panel divisions and framing create a measured transition between elevations. A view of panels prepared for transport connects the finished exterior with the material work behind it.
04 / A project reading
Fine veining is set against long vertical lines. At a distance, the panels form a calm field. Nearby, their surface pattern and the spacing of the framing become more apparent. The architectural composition gives the material room to be read at both scales.
